Cozy up, it's Sunday night!
I hear it’s your birthday? Happy birthday, man.
(He has been in a ton of Masterpiece shows, by the way: The Forsyte Saga, Sherlock, God on Trial, Inspector Lewis, Take a Girl Like You, Miss Marple, Wallander, Inspector Morse, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, and probably some I missed.)
I think the worst thing about this whole sequence is just how close Donovan and Anderson are to the truth. She thinks they’re all being manipulated; he thinks the conspiracy goes beyond just that one case, and both are right, but they’ve got the wrong guy.
I just now figured out where the Lestrade/Molly ship comes from. I’m not sure what was going on here. It’s kind of funny at first, and then veers quickly into, “Oh my God, you’re getting creepy, stop staring at her and offering her drinks.”
Oh, PBS. What are you doing? The observation game is not quite as dumb as Men of Austen, but far less fun. Mostly because a) I was pretty terrible at it and b) I did not come out of the game knowing what my fiance is worth or his feelings on flannel waistcoats.
Yeah, but if you were dying, if you’d been murdered, in your very last few seconds, what would you say?
“Please, God, let me live.”
