To The Ends Of The Earth (TV Mini-Series 2005)
(Source: isntithateful)

I was serious about Masterpiece Champion birthday posts.
(Sherlock, To the Ends of the Earth, The Last Enemy, Marple, and Small Island)
Whoa. Getting loads of second hand embarrassment from watching To the Ends of the Earth. I’m usually fine with fish-out-of-water stories but something about this one is really making me squirm. I’m only 20 minutes in so I hope this tension alleviates itself soon. Something tells me it won’t.
Don’t ask my why I’m just now getting to this pillar of the Cumberbatch catalogue. Probably length? (Much the same reason I’m so bad at watching movies.) I think I’m only missing Amazing Grace at this point, as far as substantial roles go. And I guess Dunkirk. Onward!
#did he think that governess was a prostitute? #soooo awkward
1) Yeah. I think he did. I think he legit thought it was a reasonable to assume that all the women on the boat were prostitutes. I don’t know what to do with you, Edmund.
2) Just wait until part 2, when the secondhand embarrassment is maximized thanks to the thrilling combination of a concussion and the presence of a pretty young woman.
